Overview
ToolSee is an independent website that provides free browser-based tools for PDF files, images and resumes. This policy explains what information is involved when you visit ToolSee, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
The short version:
- Files you select are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to a ToolSee server.
- You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details.
- Our hosting and analytics providers process limited technical data so the site can load securely.
- We do not currently display third-party ads. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies as described below.
Files and content you process
PDF merging, page editing, image compression and conversion, and resume creation run locally in your browser using JavaScript. The files and information you enter are not sent to, stored on, or read by a ToolSee server.
When you download a result, your browser saves it to your device. You are responsible for keeping your own copy and for checking the output before using or sharing it.
Your browser may store a small amount of preference data, such as your language, theme and cookie choice. This preference data is kept in your browser's local storage and can be removed by clearing site data. File contents are not saved there by ToolSee.
Technical data collected automatically
Like most websites, ToolSee relies on service providers that may process limited technical information when a page is requested. This can include an IP address, the requested URL, the referring page, browser and device information, and the date and time of the request.
- Hosting: the site is served through Vercel, which may keep standard server and security logs to deliver pages, prevent abuse and investigate errors.
- Analytics: the site uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregated page views and site performance. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
- Fonts and libraries: pages load fonts from Google Fonts and some JavaScript libraries from jsDelivr. Those providers may receive your IP address and browser information when delivering the files.
We use this information to operate the site, keep it secure, fix problems and understand general usage. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies
ToolSee itself does not currently set advertising cookies. The site may use local storage, which is similar to a cookie but stays in your browser, to remember your language, theme and consent choice. These preferences are necessary for the site to work as expected.
If third-party advertising is enabled in the future, Google and other vendors may place or read cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, when you visit this site. Those cookies may be used to measure advertising and to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn more in the advertising section below.
Where the law requires consent, we will not enable non-essential advertising cookies before you give consent. You can reopen these choices from the Cookie settings link in the footer, or clear the site's local storage through your browser settings to remove a saved choice and be asked again.
We use CookiePal, a Google-certified consent management platform, to display the consent banner and store your choice. It works with Google Consent Mode v2: advertising and analytics storage signals start as denied and are only enabled after you agree. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. If the platform cannot load, the site shows a local fallback banner with the same choices.
Advertising and Google AdSense
ToolSee may display advertising in the future to keep the tools free. If advertising is enabled, it may be provided by Google AdSense and other advertising partners.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- For more information, see how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
Before serving personalized ads in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use CookiePal, a Google-certified consent management platform, to collect and manage consent together with Google Consent Mode v2. When AdSense is enabled, we will publish an ads.txt file at the site root containing only the official publisher ID, never a placeholder. Advertising partners may process data outside your country as described in their own privacy policies.
We do not control third-party cookies or the data practices of advertisers. Please review the relevant provider's policy for more information.
How we use information
We use the limited information described in this policy to:
- deliver the website and its tools;
- maintain security, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems;
- understand aggregated usage and improve the site;
- respond to messages and privacy requests;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- display and measure advertising, where enabled and permitted by law.
Legal bases for users in the EEA and UK
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising, where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website and understanding aggregated usage.
- Legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information by law.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with:
- hosting and infrastructure providers, including Vercel;
- font and library delivery providers, including Google Fonts and jsDelivr;
- advertising and measurement partners, including Google, if advertising is enabled;
- professional advisers, authorities or courts where required by law; and
- a successor organisation if the site is transferred or reorganised.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary for the purpose described.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, they use contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards used for your data.
Retention
Hosting and security logs are kept only for the period reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance. Analytics are reviewed in aggregated form. Preference data stays in your browser until you clear it. Advertising data, if advertising is enabled, is retained according to the relevant provider's policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, or to request a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email Titoooo05@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity before responding. We aim to respond within the time required by applicable law, normally within one month.
Children
ToolSee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it. Where local law sets a higher age for consent, we respect that requirement.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites, including advertising partners and social networks. We are not responsible for their content, cookies or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, its providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you should review the revised policy.
